A Meaningful Impact: Exploring Social Enterprises and Supported Employment
Want to know more about Social Enterprise (a business aiming to be profitable whilst delivering positive social impact) and Supported Employment (a flexible, person centred process supporting disabled people to access and retain employment)?
Overview
Join SES and their friends at SUSE (Scottish Union of Supported Employment) at our partnership event to find out what a social enterprise (and what it isn’t), and how supported employment works to meet the needs of individual jobseekers and employers.
And hear how it works in practice, from social enterprise, The Usual Place, who have adopted the supported employment model. The Usual Place run a large contemporary community cafe, kitchen area and flexible training / meeting rooms, to provide training, education and employability skills for young people with additional support needs.
This will be an informal session and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
