Glasgow City Council are now inviting colleagues and partners to submit funding applications for the Vacant and Derelict Land Fund for 2026/27. Scottish Government has indicated the value of the allocation to Glasgow City Council for distribution will be £1.907m.
To apply, please complete the attached application form with details of your proposed project.
Please make sure that your proposal is eligible before submitting. In order to be eligible for funding, any proposal must be for a site(s) that has been on the Scottish Vacant and Derelict Land Register for at least 15 years and must meet one or more of the following Scottish Government regeneration objectives:
- stimulate economic growth
- create jobs
- promote environmental justice and improved quality of life
- support communities to flourish and tackle inequalities
Successful proposals will clearly demonstrate how the project fits into a wider place plan. Proposed projects must be shaped by the needs and aspirations of local communities. Successful applicants will have existing permission to occupy the property, through ownership, lease, or otherwise.
Glasgow’s Vacant and Derelict Land register can be found here. If you are unsure whether a site is eligible for funding, then please contact PBIP@glasgow.gov.uk in the first instance.
All applications should be sent to pbip@glasgow.gov.uk no later than midday on 3 March 2026. The team would hope to inform applicants whether their application is approved by late March, before submitting to the Scottish Government for approval shortly thereafter.
