Give a Dog a Bone… and an animal a home is a unique and award-winning charity tackling loneliness and social isolation for older adults, via animal companionship and friendship.The charity offers Financial Support for over 60s to adopt a rescue pet (visit their website for more details) and has three Community spaces in Scotland where they offer:

  • A free tea and chat service for all, with a wonderful team of Companionship Dogs
  • Pet Food Banks, where anyone who needs it can collect free pet food
  • Free activities, such as creative writing and reflexology, for over 60s
