Support available to tenants and residents:Winter Support Fund
This fund stems from various sources of external funding and aims to provide Glen Housing Association’s tenants and residents with hard measures to help them reduce their fuel bills. These include the provision of carpets and thermal curtains, energy efficient microwaves, slow cookers and kettles, winter duvet and bedding sets, and winter coats and footwear.
Fuel Vouchers and Fuel Cash
Again, this fund stems from various sources of external funding and aims to provide Glen Housing Association’s tenants and residents with either fuel vouchers (for pre-paid meters) or fuel cash (for non-pre-paid meters) for those in fuel debt, those at risk to self-disconnect or those struggling to afford their energy bills.
Warm Home Discount Application Support
Glen Housing Association’s housing officers can provide help in completing Warm Home Discount application forms to all tenants.
Energy Advice, Debt Advice, Income Maximisation
Glen Housing Association work in partnership with Cosy Kingdom to provide free energy advice, debt advice and income maximisation advice to its tenants and residents.
Glen Housing Association Discretionary Support Fund
This fund is for Glen Housing Association’s household members (tenants and residents). Applicants can complete an application and request up to £250 for daily living expenses, unexpected bills, replacement white goods, etc. The fund is not to be used for rent arrears or rent payments as there are alternative ways of resolving these.
