The Scottish Government has announced the appointment of Alisdair Mcintosh as Director for Housing, Regeneration and Welfare.
An experienced policy figure in Scottish regeneration, Alisdair is a valued former Board Member of SURF (2005-09), and previously worked as Head of Regeneration Policy for the Scottish Government. From 2009-12 he was Director of the Scotland Office.
He takes up the position today, which also sees the formal establishment of a new Housing, Regeneration & Welfare Directorate and a separate Commonwealth Games & Sport Directorate within a Scottish Government departmental restructuring. Many of these functions previously shared a single Directorate headed by Francesca Osowska, who becomes the new Director for Commonwealth Games & Sport.
SURF looks forward to continuing to engage with Alisdair and Francesca in their new roles.
