The Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (RCGF) is now open for expressions of interest (Stage 1) for 2026/27 funding, subject to Scottish Government budget approval. Glasgow City Council and Scottish Government aim to maintain a pipeline of capital projects for future support.

This round of funding consolidates previous funding streams (VDLIP & RCGF) into a single fund to support place-based, community-led regeneration in disadvantaged areas.

Key points:

  • RCGF is a Scottish Government fund, and project selection is at their discretion.
  • Successful stage 1 applicants will be invited to submit a more detailed stage 2 application in November.
  • All proposals must be submitted via your local authority or Clyde Gateway URC – DO NOT send proposals directly to Scottish Government.
  • Funding is open to all local councils in Scotland and Clyde Gateway URC. For projects within Clyde Gateway’s area, contact: gatewayenquiries@clydegateway.com.
  • Attached: Guidance Note & Stage 1 Project Proposal Template – ONLY submit fully developed, deliverable proposals for 2026/27.
  • Deadline to submit to GCC: 2pm, 13 June 2025.
