Each year, SURF and the Scottish Government work in partnership to identify and celebrate examples of success and innovation in the annual SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration.
In this event series, we will be looking at the initiatives highlighted in the 2013 SURF Awards in more depth and asking:
- What was the motivation behind their development?
- What barriers did they face, and how were they negotiated?
- What transferable lessons can they offer to regeneration initiatives in other contexts and geographies?
The study visits and workshops are listed below. The free half day events comprise a mixture of presentations from project managers and volunteers, open discussion sessions, guest speakers, networking lunches and facility tours.
