The main grant element of the People and Communities Fund is now open for new applications for the financial year 2015/2016.
The deadline for receipt of applications is Friday 31 October 2014.
The Scottish Government has increased the overarching People and Communities Fund budget by £1.5 million in 2015/2016 to £9.4 million to support local people and local communities, allowing even more community regeneration to take place.
There will be at least £7 million available for the main grant element of the Fund, which forms a key part of our Regeneration Strategy, and will support Registered Social Landlords and other community anchor organisations, such as community development trusts, reinforcing our support for community-led regeneration. This will make a real difference to people living in our most significant areas of disadvantage, and include support to help mitigate welfare reform.
